    13) Fran Tarkenton-- Great scrambler, never won title but had many winning seasons with both Minnesota and the Giants.

    12) Tom Brady-- Three Super Bowls in four years; has never lost an overtime game. And he's not done.

    11) Jim Kelly-- Last QB to call his own plays. What fun those Bills were to watch. Doesn't seem fair that they never won a Super Bowl.

    10) Peyton Manning-- I don't care what anyone says, if you ran a team, and you had your choice of Brady or Manning, you'd take Peyton. Every time.

    9) Terry Bradshaw-- Won four Super Bowls; threw the Immaculate Reception. Steelers were just pathetic when they drafted him; they've been a stellar team in the 35 years since.

    8) Dan Fouts-- Amazing passer, led one of greatest offenses ever, Air Coryell.

    7) Brett Favre-- John Wayne in shoulder pads. Was on the Falcons as rookie, and they traded him!!! Not very good. Has overcome personal tragedy in recent years to still play at a high level.

    6) ****** Unitas-- I never saw him play at his highest level, but Deacon Jones says he is greatest QB ever. That's good enough for me to put him here.

    5) Joe Montana-- Perfect system QB. Should get on his knees every night and thank the Lord 49ers didn't draft Steve Dils instead, because Coach Walsh liked his QB from Stanford better than Montana. Won four Super Bowls, but in my opinion, Young was better.

    4) Dan Marino-- Greatest passer ever. Played in the Super Bowl in his second season, but never won one, which doesn't diminish his amazing accomplishments. Tallest QB in the Hall of Fame.

    3) Steve Young-- Running QBs scare me, and no one ran like this guy, especially when combined with those short passes to Rice and Taylor. His run to beat the Vikings in last 2:00, on a muddy day at Candlestick is one greatest plays in NFL history.

    2) Roger Staubach-- What a leader. Played at Naval Academy, then did military duty before joining Dallas. Last 2:00 of games belonged to him. If he ran for president, I'd vote for him in a second.

    1) John Elway-- Won Super Bowls in last two years as player, and has already won Arena Bowl as owner. Never played in bowl at Stanford, lost in three Super Bowls, but with the ball in last 2:00, no one, not Favre Staubach or Marino, could match this gunslinger. As a Stanford player, he once threw a diagonal, cross-field pass going to his left for like 50 yards to Emile Harry. Never forgot it, what an amazing pass by great player
