Congrats to those who cashed in

Public gets massacred as the wiseguys get paid again. Easy money another +19 ** as we are just hitting our stride at the CashClub. That's a total of Plus 67.5** for the year. That buys a lot of 12 packs, Phil Jr.

        Actually...

If you studied line movements yesterday, the public took the books to the cleaners.

          To be precise....

Line movements are not the measure of where the money is going. Some of you guys got on here in January and said "10 dimes does not make a line move." I had to give a dissertation on WHO can make a line move with even LESS than that. Books moves lines not just according to amount of money, but WHOSE money we are talking about. If you don't believe me, ask Chad Millman (the writer), Joe Lupo (the manager of the Stardust Sportsbook until this year), and BOTH of the Vaccaro brothers.

To be even more exact, sometimes sportsbook operators move lines not based on money being bet, but on following other sportsbooks' actions. WHY ELSE DO YOU CONSTANTLY SEE EVERY SINGLE SPORTSBOOK SAVE ONE OR TWO MOVE IN THE SAME DIRECTION? Do you really think Joe Public is jumping around laying 20 dimes at EVERY sportsbook on the SAME side on EVERY game? Of course not. They do not want to leave a WEAK NUMBER on the board, so they move it to what a few other books moved it to.

Don't take this the wrong way, but don't say "actually" to someone who knows as much as I do about the business. And please don't get offended when I lay the facts out and prove you wrong on a point such as the one you have made. It's a mistake a lot of people have made (including myself) to assume tha EVERY line movement is according to number of bets or even amount of cash. That is not the case. Sometimes it is. But not "usually".

Having said that, go back and read past posts of mine to know what I mean by "public gets massacred". I think you'll go back and study line movements a little less, and take it less seriously when you read that line. It's just horsing around. Have some fun.
          Good luck today.

            Actually...

you didn't really prove anything except that you can name drop. I know for a fact the public did not get "massacred" yesterday and if you read my other posts you'd know that I don't just base this on line movement, which IS primarily based on the amount of money placed. You are also assuming that since I'm relatively new here I know nothing, don't be presumptuous. All I did was make a statement that was TRUE. Sorry that your "wiseguy" ego couldn't leave it at that. I'm leaving it at that so don't bother to respond, I won't read it and have good day.

PS The best bet yesterday was the Clippers -1, why? Because the line moved from opening at Denver -1. Everyone thought the Nuggets would roll over the Clips because they played so great the night before at Sacramento. If you wanna talk about the public getting "massacred" that would be one of the only cases yesterday. Of course, money had no influence on that line change though.

              ACTUALLY

Go take a hike. I didn't name drop but gave you good sources you can go to that are readily available to the public. I didn't say I personally knew any of them, but gave you good sources so you could find out on your own. YOU are the one that CAN'T prove anything because you are wrong. However, if you wish to LIE and make a joke of yourself by saying that LINES ALL MOVE AT THE SAME TIME BECAUSE MONEY IS BEING PUT ON THE SAME TEAMS EVERYWHERE IN GOBS then go make a fool of yourself. Just do it on another thread. Didn't my lesson on all the lines moving give you pause at least to say, "gee, that's right, there's no way a ton of bettors hit EVERY sportsbook at the same time to make all of their lines move". You can give ONE example of a line moving at one book. WOW. I gave you EVERY day with MOST lines.

Do yourself a favor. Quit while you're behind. WAY behind. Again, the "public getting massacred" was a joke from earlier posts by a late member here. YOU are the one making yourself out to be a newbie by:
              1) not knowing that, implying you don't get the joke
              2) not listening when I said it was a joke

Look, you are entitled to believe what you want. Just don't try to correct me on FACTS. You will lose EVERY time. Again, I wish you luck and hope you win today. Go with the public and see what happens <--JOKE

I thought Orlando line moved more yesterday. Opened up at
+3 and went to -1 to -1 1/2. They also covered the spread.

A big thanks to the Nut. I took your advice and put a hundred bucks on Weir. It's Crown Royal time.

                Thanks Nut
