Mariners vs. Tigers
Rookie phenom Hernadez making his major league debut in Detroit. Everyone's gonna be watching to see how great this kid really is. I'd be curious to see what the stats are for rookie pitchers making their debuts on the road, especially young ones. I mean, he's 19, this isn't Zake Duke who's much more mature. Van Poppel was the last 19 year old to pitch in the majors ( I think I heard) and I'm positive he got bombed early on. Douglas, who's also a rookie, has a 1.38 ERA at home, he really only got bombed one time, in Oakland. The line (-115) for Detroit, because of all the hype on Hernandez. My gut tells me I gotta take the Tigers here. Detroit has a good hitting lineup with Polanco, Shelton, I Rod, D Meat Hook, this isn't a minor league offense.
