moondog, i use three books and most of the time pinnacle is the best. i was just suggesting pinnacle to make it easy and probably pinnacle has more customers than anyone else. i think pinnacle is used the most by other cappers at BC. Spark can do whatever he wants but i think reality is important.

melon, i think you are realistic. and i agree that kmann is too sensitive when it comes to certain people. he has done it many times. nobody has done more for the site than Spark. and although i do not feel that i said anything that stepped on anybody's toes i hope that Spark did not take it the wrong way.

kmann, i don't understand you not understanding the question. I would think that the purpose of putting up games and stating lines and posting records using those lines would be to reflect reality. And that reality is based on what is available to the general public at the time the plays are posted.

And are you serious when you state that "if you like the play you play it"? Just because somebody likes a play at -115 does not mean that they would play it at -145.

And the only one bringing up an issue of integrity is you. This is an issue of reality. I would think that the poster would be concerned with the readers of the post. Otherwise, why not just post your plays the day after they are played?

Maybe Spark has never considered whether the lines he posts should be what is available to the general public at the time he posts.

I do in a way understand, and in a way I don't.....I thought a person was to post his plays, with "HIS" lines soas to reflect an accurate record of his/her picks....I'm not saying If he has a play at-115 that I should play it at -115....Hell its his advantage he got the good line....If the best I can get is -145, then it's still my judgement as to how much faith I have in that capper...

Lets talk about integrity vs reality....Why would a poster be concerned about showing the line he got on a game....Chuckie Cheese for a long time was showing RL-1 at Pinnacle before all the rest caught on...Should he be chastised for having the best line, or should he have not shown his lines, and then the real sharks would come out....The reality is (Spark) showed his play with his lines, and no sugar coating....I've had lines on games that I didn't show because they were so ridicilously better than anything else on this Forum---(Local mad mistake) didn't allow for pitching change, etc...Why didn'yt I show em, for reasons like this....

Spark has been asked this question numerous times, and has satisfactorily answered it each time..

Why should any poster be concerned with his lines vs what the General Public can get or has got....I've showed games at-115 that I played, and by the time I got to post em it was -145...Big deal.....They're changing as I'm typing....I don't understand your concept of posting what the general publics lines should be....LSU shows Pinnacle every day, early ML and alternate RL's...why don't we just show our plays, and for record purposes all use the lines LSU Fan shows...

I brought up the integrity issue as I felt you were, and still are questioning his integrity....Did he really get those lines, cause I can't buy the concept of him posting lines to meet general public approvals or what they can play just for record purposes....Every one of these games are opinions, free, and for each to do what they wish with them....

I don't relish any arguments, don't look for them, and don't like this disagreeance....But I have to state my opoinion when I think someone elses has been interpreted wrong....You are entitled to yours also, as this is America....I just cant understand your rationale on the lines issue....Maybe I'm slow, for sure I'm old...You have a nice day RFC and good luck to ya...kapt

what you're saying makes a lot of sense...as many of my plays I would not play if they were -15 to 30 higher, or would play less on them, as I am playing them because I believe they have a better chance to win than the % they must win for that line...I have seen people in the past post the line they would play the play up to, in the case that they are getting considerably different lines than the public...i know people who use bodog often are -15 or more off from pinnacle plays, especially if trying to lock a line in the night before...
I personally played WAS/ATL u8 -118 last night when it came out, knowing line would most likely go up, especially without Guillen in lineup probably...and it is now u8 -141 or u7.5 -116...i would play it for 1* instead of 2* in that case, and play the u7.5...anyway...good luck...kmann is just getting a little too offended...seems like he wants to make an argument to have something to do...

Lets talk about what you just posted, and more than solidified my argument.....you say you played a team at -116 the night before and when posting time came it was -141...my point exactly----had you showed -116 how many would be in your thread asking you about your line...Not me, I know they flunctuate, and do so quickly---especially w/ pitching changes...Or should I come in there and say "don't you mean RL---those odds are too good for ML"...see what I'm saying, and thanks for your un intentional support....You just backed up exactly what I'm saying...

and as for as your off the wall, immature, childish remark, as to me having too much time on my hands and looking for arguments for the sake of "Having something to do", you could be no further off than you are....I generally try and stop disagreeances before they expand, as I feel this one is going to do.....Secondly, I work about 13-15 hours a day, 5 days a week, and go out on emergency calls all the time....I do a lot of my bids, estimates, programing, etc from my computer, and I generally get in on this Forum while waiting for call backs or more information.....Oh what do I do, I'm a Senior Consulting Engineer (Electrical) and do a ton of Electrical Consulting for Tulsa, Ok, City of Broken Arrow, numerous Refineries, and Electric Co-ops.....Keeps me real busy during Tornado SEason, or can you imagine....I doubt it.....Have a nice day Melonge....enjoy both your friends...kapt

Before I ever started posting baseball plays I asked a very respectable and highly regarded member here at this site if I should post Pinnacle lines or the true lines I get cause I knew this would happen .. he said the exact same thing that Kapt said .. Post your own lines and let them chose if they want to follow or not ... Why would I want to post lines that I am not getting??? it really does not make sense to me to do that ...

RFC, absolutely no problem at all in your comment but like I said, Why would i post Pinnacle lines and not the true ones I am getting ...

as far as Melonvt24, i did not like the sarcastic comment he made to the kapt .. i have been watching some of his posts and I think he should be nominated next month for the AOTM!!!!
