I had a feeling yesterday that New England might choke against Chivas, but I didn't think I could honestly trust it because of the way NE has pulled game after game out of their hats. And it was the best team in the league against the worst, but that's what the Gold Cup has done to MLS the past couple weeks and I'm glad to have lost just 1 unit on that parlay I put in on Thursday. Ok, enough chatter from me, here are my MLS plays for Saturday..
Record: 36-38-5 (+13.46*)
3* Salt Lake +0.5 (+102) over Dallas
I played almost this exact same line the last time Dallas played in Salt Lake, and I lost on the 2-0 Dallas win. What's the difference this time? The artificial turf is back in place and Salt Lake is 3-1-3 on the fake stuff this year.
3* Columbus pk -117 over Kansas City
Columbus has played extremely well to this point under new coach Robert Warzycha with a win and a draw against 2 of the better teams in the East and KC has just 2 road wins in 9 tries this year.
3* DC +188 over Los Angeles
This LA team just isn't the same without Landycakes Donovan. They're now 1-4-2 in their last 7 and have still played the easiest schedule by far with 11 of their 18 games against the bottom 4 of the league.
2* San Jose -0.5 (-116) over New York
The same argument against LA can almost work for New York as well.. Without Amada Guevara it's not the same team and while their schedule isn't as paddycakes as LA, they still have the 11th hardest out of 12 teams in the league
