I think Philadelphia should just let Owens sit out 1,2,3 years or what ever.Green Bay should also let Walker sit out the year.These guys are not bigger than the sport and owners should not given in,it will start a very bad trend if they do.

Here's my take
The Players in the NFL really have to protect themselves, cause even if they sign a 7 year deal, they can get cut after 1 year, it's not like that in other sports, but I also think players need to take that into consideration when they sign their contact. TO holding out cause he's only making 49 mill of 7 years, is a joke, he signed that last year, so I don't feel sorry for him, but if player has a breakout year, and is only making 500,000, I say holdout till they pay you, it's not worth the injury risk.

Although there are no guaranteed contracts in the NFL, they do get a signing bonus up front. Everyone knows the contracts are not guaranteed and they agree with the signing bonus. If a team cuts a player after 1 or 2 years, they still get hit with his cap because of the signing bonus. Why not sign a contract full of incentives if you think you are that good? Walker has been solid for 1 year an he now wants to hold out?
My take is if you sign a contract, honor it!!

True. I think everything needs to be taken into consideration. I say holdouts are only justified in rare occasions when a player is really just taking a huge risk, when they have a breakout year.
