I always feel good any time I have the better pitcher on the mound. I feel even better when the team with the better pitcher is a road dog.


My system says the Expos, so I am on them like bad breath.

we had a big 3-1 day in the bases yesterday (winning the 3 bigger plays and losing the small expos play - over 10 dimes in the bases)

I like the Expos in this spot this afternoon

good spot...definitely better pitch and to catch $ is a bonus.... vasquez pitched well in 5 2/3 innigs vs the braves in a 4-0 win..allowed seven hits but 5 k's and is 3-0 lifetime...prior did look sharp vs the mets but has never faced this expo team before...just a liitle input...

I have Vasquez at +140 and completely agree with the analysis.
Mark Prior is a stud though and can dominate on any given day, hopefully not this one.

someone had 6.5 yesterday and it squeaked over..dont know if the temp rising today is good though because gonzalez who has been crushing the ball(15-28 .536) was quoted today in usatoday as saying that the "cold wether helps him concentrate more because it makes him hit the ball on the sweet spot and not the end of the bat."!!

DEFINITELY the better pitcher??!! The Expos are a good play today but if Vazquez is better than Prior it's just barely. They're both good and it should be a close game. You do get value with Vazquez but.....I think you guys are underrating Prior just a tad.

u r right i m high!!! however i did say that prior looked sharp didn't i?....1 run over 6 innings ina 6-3 win vs the mets..only allowed 4 hits 2walks and 7strikeouts...but still feel that vasquez is definitely the value.. thats all

Prior is a good quality pitcher and young.

Vasquez has always been a pitcher that i've liked but since he's on the expos his win/loss ratio hasn't been that great. If he had been on say a Yankees or Braves it would be much better.
