Saturday Night Boxing HOPKINS

I haven't seen any threads about the upcoming fight Saturday. Its really nice to see a proven champion like Hopkins still trying to prove his worth to the public. He already has 20 title defenses and he still wants the best of fights. Looking for predictions/thoughts of the outcome.

Personally, I would like to see Hopkins take "the kid" to school with a 12 round decision.
But for the odds I am leaning towards an under 11.5 rounds +185, hoping that either the youngster lands a haymaker or get knocked out trying to land one.

my friend is best friends with emmanuel steward.....i will get his perspective by tommorrow and post it..... saw hopkins destroy trinidad at MSG in 01'....however, i hope taylor takes him down.......throws with murderous intent, but hopkins has a way of making you fight his fight

IMO Hopkins is a serious fighter that studies his opponents and chooses his spots. TTT is right, he makes his oponents fight his fight, and then destroys them. I've heard the story of Bernard Hopkins, how he grew up and what he's gone through. This is a man that works hard and knows what it takes to be the best time and time again..... he still enjoys fighting and appreciates it. IMO Hopkins will beat him, whether it goes the distance, I have no idea.

i thought for the 1st time i saw a chink in his armour the last fight...but you never know with "the executioner"....is he playing possum....is he lulling you to sleep....is he frustrating you...he is the master....no doubt....but taylor intrigues the hell out of me.....and he is fast and powerful......funny thing is hopkns very rarely takes a punch flush........

my heart wants taylor...my head says the master.....but fighters sometimes age overnight......is this the time???hmmmm

guys my causin is a huge boxing fan tapes every damn fight undercard , ridiculous really..but ive payed attention i thought taylor for a sec but the something tells me hopkins will pull it out think it goes to cards though...very weird that the over under is at 11.5 norm woudl be lower gives u half a damn round to bet on..so vegas knows something

I'm taking a shot w/Taylor. This guy is said to be the force of the middleweight div. once Hopkins is done. I think this fight will go to the cards which means anything is possible. GL

if the fight goes to the cards...hopkins gets the nod......taylor (and i love him) throws with murderous intent, but has many flaws or glitches.....keeps right hand low.....open for hook or jobs and counters.......people say hopkins is 40.....and sometimes athletes that age when they lose it, they lose it in a hurry....but i think hopkins is different......he never sweats or seems tired...his ring generalship is awesome and he forces you into his fight.......sometimes defensive until he wears you out and then he turns it on.....or he just comes out and then will trade with you (ask trindad).......i like both fighters and would not be upset by a taylor win.....but a part of me thinks hopkins played coy the last fight to get this fight for the payday and i think he may be able t take young jermaine out.......he says there are 9 flaws he has found in taylors style.......remember he is a young 40....never drank/smoked...does not live that life and he has not been in any wars.......i am babbling now....but i say hopkins TKO round 9
