Kaptains "Rare" 8* play
This game doesn't quite meet the criteria of a 10* but is damn close....One of the Factors is the chosen team is not at home...
San Diego Padres -111 vs the Colorado Rockies...
Sand Diego sends Lawerence (5-7)(4.34) to the Mound and Rockies counter with Jennings (4-8)(5.59)...Last 3 games for Lawerence (ERA 3.38), for Jennings (6.27)....Pitching favors Padres as their team ERA, including Bull Pen is 4.02 and Rockies is 5.46....Significant difference...
Padres are hitting 263 as a team, and Rockies 267...small difference for a team that plays in light air (1/2 their games)...Rockies have hit 80 HR's, and Padres 78...But consider the light air for Rockies, and not a friendly hitter park for the Padres---edge goes to Padres....
May be a hi scoring affair, and if it is, I feel the Padres can more than hold their own, if its a Pitchers duel---advantage Padres.....
This is how I justify/explain why I like a team good enough to be considered an 8* + play....
