No disrespect to anyone who has the Cubs today, but as a life long fan, and someone who follows the Cubs as a diehard fan......I would stay away from this team, or actually bet against them until they string 2-3 wins together. I was so disappointed that yesterday was rained out! Smoltz at -150 was a gift! I've never seen a team play with less confidence and worse fundamentals than this team right now. I split season seats and go to about 20 games a year, and always follow them, and IMO, bet against this team until they snap this streak. Add the fact that D. Lee is out and this team just can't score.

Smoltz -1 1/2 looks like a solid bet. (waiting to see Braves linup though).

Spark, didn't see your thread yesterday, but if I stole your material sorry. You are right though. There isn't a single player or manager/coach on this team right now that I would say is playing with any heart! I've never seen a team just go through the motions like this before. As a fan, I am disgusted by this team, as a bettor, I am licking MY chops. I had my biggest wager of the baseball season on Atl. last night before the rainout. All aspects....hitting, pitching, fielding...Cubs S-U-C-K SUCK!!!

OMG Gookis, I did not mean that at all ... I just made a post in someone' thread yesterday that the Cubs have given up ... Not sure where it was ...

This team has given up ... They may as well end the season right here .. they will end up 20 games under .500 this year ...
Play against them every time they are a fav .. you will make money kiddo!!! Good Luck

Just watching the game ... Ramirez hits a lazy fly to center , he goes half way
to first and turns for the dugout before the ball is even caught.... Bremly
says "Ramirez may be frustrated, but there is absolutely no excuse for not seeing
