Casey Fossum won't start Wednesday. After watching his bullpen struggle again tonight, manager Lou Piniella said he plans to use a reliever initially and then bring in Fossum later on.
''I've made up my mind and that's what we're going to do,'' Piniella said. ''People are going to think I'm crazy, but we're just going to try it. Starting tomorrow, I'll bring in whatever reliever I feel like starting the game with, and I'll bring my starter in in the third inning and we'll play nine innings of baseball that way.'' hell.....it just might work! there's seems to be more scoring later in games than early, so if his bullpen can get through the first 3 innings with only 1 or 2 runs scored, who knows? When you get outscored 90-22 in the 8th inning for the year, might want to try something!

Very true.....if his starter gets shelled, they're in trouble. Fossum has had good success vs. the White Sox in his career. Also, check the Sox starting lineup for tonight and be careful. I heard that both Crede and Konerko are out of the lineup (rest), and that Jermaine Dye, who has never played anywhere other than the OF, is starting at 1B tonight.
