Reason:
Even without Bradley, Ledee, Drew and All Star SS Izturis, LA
overcame a
3-0 lead to win 4-3 at Coors Field last night in 11 innings! Matching
that feat again will be more than just a little difficult, as the
short-handed Dodgers will send Odalis Perez to the mound. Perez was
placed on the DL in mid-May with inflamation in his shoulder and will
be making his first start since, tonight. Prior to going on the DL, he
had lost three straight starts, with an ERA of 5.89. In eight career
starts in Coors Field, Perez owns an ERA of 6.90, including allowing
30
hits and 15 ERS over 15.1 innings (8.80 ERA!) over the last two
seasons
there (span of three starts). Colorado will start Jeff Francis, who is
off two straight wins (13 IP / 2 ERs). Francis has adapted well to
Coors Field, as in seven starts, he's posted an ERA of 3.50 with the
team going 5-2. Colorado left 10 men on base last night, going 1-of-12
with runners in scoring position. That WON'T happen again! 15*
