    You make

    some very good points sandman!

    You will notice that some people will play 3 monster dogs in a day hoping to hit one of them.....two is gravey.....3 would be a killer day. eg
    each for one unit on days when we have Twins -300 plus..etc:

    DOGS

    A==>+260 loss=-100
    B==>+220 win=+220
    C==>+205 loss=-100

    Results are 1-2 and PLUS 20

    Now bet those favorites like we had the other day and even add a fourth team if you wish so for example

    A===>-370 win=+100
    B===>-330 loss=-330
    C===>-220 win=+100
    D===>-180 win=+100

    Results are 3-1 and a LOSS of 30!!

    Just for the newbies I think this was the "Pete Rose" scenario of heavy favorite betting that Sandy was giving them.

    I too play 2 team parlay combinations to cut down juice and bring it to a plus amount.

    For today when the obvious usually goes down hard....my only Vig play is STL/LAA at plus money but MULDER IS A MESS AND WOULD NOT SURPRISE ME TO SEE THE ROCKS WIN AGAIN. MULDER SHOULD HAVE AN EARLY EXIT AGAIN TODAY GOING ONLY 5 OR 6 INNINGS MAX. J. WASHEDUPTUB for the Angels is just as flakey so another LOSS could happen there as well but they were the two strongest on the board especially with the Cards losing yesterday and Jennings is truly "T-Ball Pitcher" so my hope is the Cards outscoring them today. The other plays are Atlanta as a nice dog......The Muttleys on a small dog play....and a bigger play on the Texas over as Rodgers should not have his head in this game at all which makes playing on Texas very very shakey. Old Man Moyer should get shelled as well. So 8 runs is not too much to ask for a push and 9 for a win.

    By betting these types on a Sunday there is very little risk with possible decent rewards.

    Good posts guys! BEST OF LUCK TO EVERYONE! Goldv

          GoldVike. First off, nice call on St Louis. You hit it right on the head, including what inning Mulder leaves the game. Uncanny. I'm with you on the Braves tonight.

          Rip. It still worked out with Washington. I just had to sweat them blowing TWO save opportunities. Thankfully, the third save opportunity was the charm. I guess it's fair to have to sweat plus 180 plays, before they win.

          GV. You understand exactly what I have been saying about playing favorites vs. playing dogs. Thanks for saying it so clearly. I have another thread, where all the posts are about how playing favorites can really catch up to you.

          For anyone who wishes to read that post,I just bumped it to page one. The title is Why I Don't Play Favorites In Baseball - A Lesson for Newbies and I'm just trying to show how you can win more bets than you lose playing all favorites, even small ones and still be a loser, showing how my plays would have turned out if I twisted my plays to favorites. Granted, it's geared to those who are new to betting bases, but anyone should find the numbers interesting.
