  • CFL overtime question

I have money on the early CFL game (I got Ottawa +10.5).

The game just careened into OT with the Ottawa comeback. Since this is my first year betting CFL, how does it's OT work? Like college, NFL, or something else?

Does it matter when your getting 10.5 and Ottawa scored 3?

I just saw it go final.

No, I was just wondering. I won a bet a number of years ago in college, maybe it was UCLA against someone, when my team scored a TD, then pick off the other team and ran it back for an additional score, and won by 13. I still am not sure if they ever changed that rule, but weird things happen all the time.

I won one like that too but you have about a 1 in 100 chance of losing one of those when you are +10.5 heading to O.T.

          Not final?

You are right Wayne. I'm just paranoid, watching so many relieves blow leads. Just wakes me edgy about all my action. Too many cigs and shots don't help.

            Thanks for the response.

FYI, that UCLA-Arizona State OT result that you guys are talking about will NEVER happen again. They changed the rule a few years ago so a turnover return by a leading team in college OT is simply the end of the game and the "score", if there is one, does not count. In other words, the most you can lose an OT game by is 8 points. If you're getting 8.5 or more, you have a winner.
