    13) My favorite moment of Tuesday night's draft was when the Knicks used last pick of first round to wisely draft David Lee, the former Florida Gator who raised his stock by playing really well at the Chicago camp.

They showed the ever-annoying Spike Lee (obviously no relation) who was not amused with the pick. Could it be becuase David Lee is a caucasian? Spike Lee makes his substantial living by fanning racism's flames; but he should be happy the Knicks made a solid pick, instead of looking as if Knicks had just picked French stiff Frederic Weis all over again.

    12) I didn't hear the term "upside" once Tuesday night, big disappointment, except when I said it. Guess no one in this draft will improve as he gets older.

    11) David Stern, whom I would vote for as President, needs to make it a league-wide rule that Barkley and Hubie Brown have to work the draft. Stepen A. Smith is plain awful, Greg Anthony is bland. Barkley-Bilas debates would be excellent.

    10) Yes, if David Stern ran for President, I would vote for him, as long as Russ Granik wasn't his VP choice.

    9) Every person at the draft should wear sneakers, and Stern should wear a different pair for each pick, so as not to offend any potential sponsors.

    8) Toronto got ripped for drafted Charlie Villanueva at #7. We'll see if the young man can use this to motivate himself. Raptors also took a Croatian PG who is 6-5, and appeared to have some street in his game, from a lousy set of his highlights they showed.

    7) Portland took high schooler Martell Webster with a first round pick, then GM John Nash rattled on about character while explaining the pick. Webster's granny was in New York, and she had a very interesting hat on, one that looked like a chef's hat. Portland needs good character people to win back fans' confidence, as series of bad apples have sullied team's image.

    6) I watch as much basketball as I can all winter long, but when Denver took a guy from Belgium, I laughed, because I have no clue. Kiki Vandeweghe is as sharp as they come, he's drafting guys from freakin' Belgium. That is the world of hoops today.

    5) Then there are the Clippers, who took Russian kid that scored three points a game last year, wherever it was he played. There is no way on God's green earth this kid is as good as Francisco Garcia or Green kid from Houston, but that helps to explain why the Clips get to play a lot of golf in May every year.

    4) Sacramento, meanwhile, they get it; they took tough New Yorker Garcia, who has overcome tragedy in his personal life to become a terrific player for Louisville, and coach Pitino. This was a great pick.

    3) Point guards go 3-4-5. Hopefully, this will translate to more passing in the league from now on.

    2) Who advises some of these kids? Fortunes are lost as high school kids make incredibly poor decisions as to whether to go to school or come out. Kids drafted in second round play for like $500,000, money that is in no way guaranteed. Go to college, play well for a year, then be a lottery pick and make $10 million for three years, guaranteed. It is simple math.

    1) If you were bored at end of the draft, or asleep, it is interesting to note that a certain Manu Ginobili was the 57th pick in draft the year he was selected, and he is a pretty good player now for the Spurs.
