  • Shocking Updated World Series Odds

Want a good laugh? Check out the latest odds on each team winning the WS.
For starts-how about the putrid Yanks at 4-1, the Red Sox at 8-1 and St. Louis at 5-1? Maybe White Sox at 10-1?
I am going to plunk some money down on some of these teams that have "no chance", as it appears the Yanks don't have it all "sewn up".
Realistically the Yanks should be at least 10-1 if not 20-1.

Hey Chung-that Firebird was a lot nicer than many of the bitches who rode in it.
ps I a going to pick out 4 or 5 teams which have a chance to win it with good odds besides the Yanks and bet equal amounts. I may even throw a real longshot in it.
I would love to hear from you guys what YOU think the best values are.

Nothing wrong either on Anaheim, Atlanta or even Washington if you look at the standings.
ps If you pick a number of teams at good teams and any of them even get in the playoffs, you can probably hedge along the way and do pretty well or at least not get hurt I would think.

I don't know how the hell you can leave the White Sox out of it if you were to wager any of these. They have the BEST record in baseball and a 9.5 game lead yet their still +1000 and Dan would rather take the Twins???

I unlike most think the White Sox pitching isn't bad, in fact i think their pretty damn good and i also think their top 3 in Garland, Buehrle, and Garcia would walk all over the Twins top 3 and the numbers prove it!

White Sox will DEFINITELY be one of the teams I play, as I hinted at in beginning of post.

Chung, Name all the teams with "Great" Relief Pitching. The list is VERY short and they are no different than anyone else right now!

The White Sox Could use a front line closer but they are tied for 5th in all of baseball in Save % and tied for 2nd in the A.L. in the same category. There are MUCH worse pens out there!

Anaheim is 8th in MLB in Save % and S.D. is 22nd. One isn't bad and one isn't good but they are BOTH behind the White Sox!

                        P.S.

Just remember, blown saves don't mean much because if you blow 8 in 20 tries it's still worse than blowing 9 in 30 tries. You need to have leads to give your pen oppurtunities and the White Sox Starters have done that. Save % shows over the long haul which teams can hold a lead and which teams cannot.

St Louis is 1st in baseball and Washington is 3rd. That helps explain both of their great records as well. Surprisingly Pitt. is 2nd in bases but they just don't have enough leads late to show in their record. They lack the Starters.

The Teams with the worst save % in baseball are

27 San Francisco (5th Worst Record in baseball)
28 Kansas City (Worst Record in Baseball)
29 Tampa Bay (Tied 2nd Worst Record in baseball)
30 Colorado (Tied 2nd Worst Record in baseball)

There is something to be said for this stat. Would these teams be leading their divisions with a better pen? NO, But they would have a much better record and they would be more competitive. When they do get the occasional lead or chance at a Win their pen blows it! All Around bad teams here.
