I think this is the game of the year! Prior after breaking bone in arm. Baker notorious for destroying pitchers. The Southside team that has never got enough respect. Cubs win the game today (Sat) with one big swing from Ramirez and a an umpire with a big strike zone for Maddux. WhiteSox big.

well, i guess I am off...i thought the line woudl instantly correct to -140 on the money line...the sox hit alot of balls hard today right at cubs...also with the DH their lineup is far superior...garland won't be hitting batters and walking players to load bases for the birthday boy

I dont know about game of the year, anything could happen in one game. But i wouldnt take the cubs and i like this spot. I think Prior is being rushed back and i will be on the Sox!! big!

did Prior have any rehab starts in minors?

I heard that he threw well in 'simulated' games. That is all I have heard. Here are pieces of an article from Cubs website.

'The Cubs will watch him. He threw 77 pitches in his last sim game on Tuesday in Milwaukee.'

'While Prior will go from two simulated games to the rotation, teammate Kerry Wood was scheduled to make his third Minor League rehab start Friday night in Des Moines for Triple-A Iowa. Wood has been out since April 30 because of a strained right shoulder.'

"There's no need," Prior said of a Minor League start. "If I've got the ability to go deep in the game, why waste it in Triple-A?"

'Prior said his changeup was off in his last sim game, but expected to feel better once he gets into the rotation and a regular routine.'

i believe he is on a pitch count and then will be relievd by jerome williams. a guy they picked up from sf. his only good outing of the year was in early april against the rockies at home. the rest were not very good.

but like they say if it looks to good to be true it usually is.

i will be doing a medium size wager on the white sox. i had them the last two days anyway.
