Marquette vs. Kansas
Marquette, 14-4 SU and 11-5 ATS on the road, is 46-25 ATS as a dog since 1997, including 5-2 this season after its Sweet 16 and Elite Eight upsets of Pittsburgh and Kentucky, respectively.
The Golden Eagles have covered 15 of 23 battles this season versus teams with winning records, and are 9-3 ATS in non-conference tilts having covered in their last three tournament outings.
Kansas has struggled in the role of a favorite this season as its 14-15 ATS record attests. And the Jayhawks are just 8-6 ATS in non-conference tilts as well.
In terms of the total, when installed as a pup, Marquette is 15-4 under since 1997, including 5-0 this year. But, the Eagles have topped the posted total in each of their last five outings.
As for Kansas, its 17-9 under as a favorite this year, and 18-10 under in all games, including 10-5 in non-conference tilts.
Syracuse vs. Texas
Syracuse is 11-5 SU and 10-6 ATS on the road this year. The Orange have won 12 of their last 13 outings overall. And they're 3-0 SU and ATS versus Big 12 teams this year, dominating Oklahoma in last weekend's Elite Eight 16-point rout, beating Oklahoma State in round two of the tournament by 12, and Missouri by seven at the Carrier Dome in mid-January.
The 'Cuse is also 15-8 ATS versus teams with winning records this season, and 13-7 ATS in all tournament action the past three years combined.
Syracuse's 2-3 zone has keyed its drive to the Final Four. The Orange's four tournament opponents have shot a combined 36% and averaged more than 17 turnovers a game.
Texas, 12-5 SU and 11-6 ATS on the road this year, has won and covered two of three against Big East foes this season, beating Seton Hall and losing to Notre Dame during the regular season, while nipping U.Conn in the Sweet 16. The Longhorns are 15-7 ATS versus teams with winning records this year, and 14-10 ATS as a favorite.
Texas coach Rick Barnes faced Syracuse and its 2-3 zone 13 times as head coach of Providence in the early '90s and was 4-9 SU against Jim Boeheim's club.
