two unit plays
st louis -1.5 (-110) vs pittsburgh.................for starters the cards own the pirates winning 12 straight vs them and 16 of the last 20. morris has been great so far. cards want to snap a two game losing streak. runline won't matter here, cards destroy them.
phillies -163 vs ny mets............(from phillies.com) Cory Lidle has to be salivating over his Thursday-afternoon start against New York. He beat the Mets three times in three starts last season, and gave them no chance each time. He allowed 18 baserunners and struck out 15 in 24 innings, and had an ERA of 0.75.
Mets starter Kaz Ishii has struggled in nearly every start this season, and he allowed five runs in five innings to the Phillies on April 18. Ishii walked six and surrendered a home run to Mets-killer Pat Burrell.
An added advantage for the Phillies is their love for left-handers. Philadelphia has won 13 of 21 games against southpaws.
one unit plays
under 8 (+100) baltimiore/toronto
under 8.5 (-120) dodgers/san diego
under 8.5 (-135) florida/atlanta
atlanta +115 vs florida
for my total plays i have been using (AHW) average hits and walks per nine innings the last three starts for the pitching matchups and it has worked pretty well for me. when the numbers are real low i play the under and real high i play the over. i usually suck at totals but this has worked for me this year.
i am playing florida because i think the whole world once again will be on willis and the marlins. i said yesterday i think the braves are going to go on a winning streak, and i think it has started.
i am leaving for Philadelphia tonight, got tickets to the friday night phils/red sox game. i hope to be home in time for the saturday night games, if not see you on sunday.
good luck everybody!!
