A nice win last night on a 5 STAR parlay. Lets keep this rolling, this is my play for Saturday.....
MLB
5 STAR PARLAY: NY Yankees / NY Mets
(Listing Wang/Rusch and Martinez/Franklin)
($500 to win $740)
Chicago Cubs vs. New York Yankees
This should be like batting practice for the Yankees today. Glendon Rusch has been hammered by the Yankees in the past and I look for that to continue. Rusch is 0-6 in his career against the Bombers with an ERA of 7.16. In 44 innings against the Yankees, Rusch has allowed 49 hits and 35 earned runs. Jason Giambi, Derek Jeter, Tino Martinez, Alex Rodriguez, Gary Sheffield and Bernie Williams all have career batting averages of over .300 against Rusch! Wang should pitch well enough and get enough run support for the Yanks to get the win here!
New York Mets vs. Seattle Mariners
Pedro Martinez has owned the Mariners. He is a lifetime 13-0 with an ERA of 1.30 against Seattle. In 97 innings against the M's, Pedro has allowed only 54 hits and has 130 strikeouts, and most of this was done when the Mariners were a good team! The lineup that Seattle will field for this game has not had any better success against him. The heart of the Mariners lineup; Brett Boone, Raul Ibanez, Richie Sexon and Ichiro are a combined 15 for 76 for a .197 average lifetime against Pedro. The only hitter in Seattle's lineup that has had any kind of success against Pedro is Randy Winn who is 7 for 23 against him for a .304 average. Pedro has been in a groove, in his last three starts he has allowed only 13 hits in 24 innings with an ERA of 1.88. Seattle's starter Ryan Franklin has been bad all year. He is 2-8 on the season with an ERA of 4.81. In his last three starts he has been even worse, allowing 21 hits in just 14 innings with an ERA of 6.43. I look for Pedro to continue his domination of this team tonight!
