Ashton goes with Washington.
Stickman-I was on the road when I called Stool yesterday, was bored and thus called him, knowing that Pm would call anyways.
I can't believe that Phil Steele, who has been doing this so long, would actually believe this 5 1/2 minute rants would bring him more customers;no one is that dumb!

Event: Houston Astros vs Kansas City Royals on 06/17/2005 at 17:10
Condition: Houston Astros
Promotion: Kansas City has been on fire during Inter-League play while posting a 7-4 record behind an awesome team batting average of .309 and 6.6 runs per game for those 11 battles. It's been an impressive run for them, but now it's time to come back to reality as they host Houston as they start their ace, Rocket Roger, on the mound. In fact, Clemens is 8-0 (his teams have posted a 9-0 record) in his nine starts against the Royals since 1997! Back this powerful road chalk as we find K.C. at only 14-27 on the year against right-handed pitchers and Clemens ranks as one of the best they'll see.
7* Play On Houston

Event: Pittsburgh Pirates vs Boston Red Sox on 06/17/2005 at 16:05
Condition: Boston Red Sox
Promotion: Josh Fogg Pittsburghs starting hurler today for this contest against the BoSox comes into this contest in less than stellar form having allowed 19 hits in his L/11 2/3 in-nings of work. Not a good omen for the Bucks chances at victory tonight considering the Red Sox are hitting right handers like Fogg for a .286 BA and while collecting 5.7 RPG. The Pirates thrower is also allowing opposition left handed hitters to ****** him for a hefty .333 BA. With that said and considering the amount of quality lefty batters in the Red Sox batting order it will not be hard for me to back them here in at home in one of baseball notorious hitters parks(Fenway). Final notes: Wade Miller the Bosox starter tonight has a very stable 2.70 ERA in 10 career appearances vs the Pirates.Play the runline -1.5
San Diego Padres at Minnesota Twins, Friday, June 17, 2005 8:10 P.M. EST EST
The Padres have lost four straight and are just 3-9 in interleague play. Minnesota is 19-12 at home and control king Carlos Silva sports a 3.80 home ERA to Tim Stauffer's 4.07 on the road. Stauffer has walked three times as many batters as Silva (12-4) in less than half as many innings (36-80). Look for control problems to afflict the youngster in the strange indoor setting of the Metrodome. In addition, Minnesota is 38-28 when playing a good team (win pct 54-62%) the last three seasons, 12-1 this year vs. a team using its bullpen 3.2 innings/game or more and 30-17 the past 2 seasons vs. a starter giving up 0.5 HR's or less per start.
Atlanta (Ramierez) +102 over Cincinnati (Ortiz)
Detroit (Robertson) -125 over San Francisco (Schmidt)
Houston/Kansas City UNDER 8 -120
Minnesota (Silva) -135 over San Diego (Stauffer)
NY Mets (Ishii) +121 over Seattle (Moyer)

KC Royals--Houston is 7-26 on the road. They face a Royal team that has won 5 straight and 7 of 9.
All plays are 3 units
Thanks for all the hard work Spark & Rip. Much appreciated!
After Pittsburgh's surprising 18-2 win against Tampa Bay on June 11th, they have gone back into skid mode, losing four straight by a combined score of 11-29. Meanwhile, Boston has picked things up, winning their last four by by a combined score of 31-5. That's two teams going in opposite directions if I ever saw them! Two righties go tonight and Boston scores 5.7 vs. right-handers while Pittsburgh scores 3.9. The Red Sox are 102-43 at home vs. righties over the past three seasons. Great against bad tonight results in a "W" for the Red Sox. Two stars on Boston.
