3 Wise Men Report Thursday 6/16/05

The first wave of Interleague games was bad , then we did fairly well last week , and now we’re getting slammed. No one ( not even me ) could have seen this coming .

Personally I never chase into a bad run of games. I have a real bad 2 days and I’m out … sometimes for 1, 2, 3 weeks. I don’t fool around. I clear the head , get plenty of exercise and rest, then back into the fight I go.

Lets see how the new matchups perform for us tomorrow night … if more of the same then at least pass 3 Wise Men Plays for the rest of the weekend. Needless to say , today is a pass.

We will of course continue to post same as always and keep records so we’ll all know when it’s time to jump back in . We’re posting, but streetwise we’re out of action.

For now our selections can not be acted on.. It’s a sad sorry day when our plays mean nothing but it’s now come to that.

I see nothing wrong with taking a few days or weeks off. I do it often. Don't cap the games. Don't look at any scores for a few days. One would be surprised how well they do when they resume.

Thanks Guys - the games must be capped and posting will continue ... otherwise how would any of us ever know when we're out of the woodshed ? Everything must be strictly monitored day by day and I think the only way to go is to keep doing what we're doing.

Clearly, Interleague Games and The 3 Wise Men do not mix well and we'll use the remainder of those games as a time to pass and relax.

Frank I know what you mean, though , but we don't have the option of passing altogether.

hmm...

Don't understand why you would continue to cap games but not play them. You can never know when a streak is coming...what happens if you win 10 plays in a row over three days, and think you're back, but then go on the bad streak started the fourth day when you've started to play again...all games are independent of eachother, and unless you're completely changing how you handicap games, it is pointless to still pick them and wait for a 'hot streak' which you will have then missed because you weren't playing...maybe play them for half amount, but even that is not a good idea, as you should keep your amounts even, otherwise a 20-10 record, betting the wrong games, could be as good as a 15-15 record...i got my ass kicked last night after hitting 8 of 9, but nothing you can do about it...as we are not playing the games and you can never be absolutely right on a game of inches...
