                Major League Baseball
                Philadelphia vs Seattle
                Padilla vs Sele
                Wednesday, June 15th, 2005
10:05 pm est 7:05 pm pacific
                Line: Philadelphia(-115)

In this contest, my money is on the Seattle Mariners. The Phillies
have been on fire as of late, but they did just have their six game
win streak snapped last night in Seattle and now they are listed
as the favorite despite the fact that they have Vincente Padilla
on the hill. He has been absolutely horrible, yet they are still
                the favorite.

Padilla is just 3-5 on the season and his ERA is at 6.43. He doesn't
even average five innings per start. These numbers are bad but they
pale in comparison to how woeful he has been on the road. He has yet
to win away from home, and the Phillies are searching for their first
win with Padilla on the hill as well, and his ERA has climbed to
                a disgusting 7.50.

Aaron Sele takes the hill for Seattle and he has been pitching much
better as of late. The right-hander is 3-1 in his last four starts
and in 28 1/3 innings of work, Sele has allowed just 22 hits and
five runs, with four of them coming in one game.

Padilla has no right being a road favorite. The Phillies have just
had their six game win streak snapped and will be lucky to play
with any intensity whatsoever. Take the Mariners in this one.

Florida @ Chicago Cubs 2:20 PM EST
Play On: 1* Chicago Cubs +100 (Burnett/Maddux) Listed

Maddux is 3-0 with a 3.37 ERA his last 3 starts. Maddux has a 2.50 ERA vs Florida since 1997. Burnett is only 3-4 this year although he has pitched well he has had very little run support. Burnett is 16-27 with a 4.28 ERA on the road lifetime. Future Hall of Famer Maddux has pitched extremely well recently and we feel that will continue in this game. We'll recommend a play on the Cubs today!!
