  • 3 Wise Men Report Tuesday 6/14/05

Guys it’s 4:30 AM and I just woke up from a horrific nightmare that a huge commercial airliner just crashed in my driveway. The noise was frightening. It’s positioned like it had a safe landing but the exterior is completely torn off and all that remains is a skeleton. I can see the seats and the cockpit … empty. This would be an easy one for my shrink to interpret ( if I had one ) .

Don’t be afraid to scream and yell and ventilate … say whatever you want but just let it all out . I’ll be around in the morning and later on in the afternoon. (Doctors appointments from noon til 4 ish.) Use today’s thread as a bitch all you want forum … It’s much healthier than keeping it in. The Camp is tight … been that way all year …. Don’t worry I can and will take the heat.

Baltimore , Arizona, and Florida and The Angels scored 6, 6, 7, and 5 runs in one inning respectively last night and that torched us plain and simple. A real gut shot … the way things have been going the last 2 weeks , we never saw it coming. Our worst night in history.

Now we need to play catch up ball for the next 2-3-4 days. The tendency will be to get rid of Monday with a rip roaring Tuesday . Above all avoid trying to recoup in one day. Don’t panic and turn a bad night into an irretrievable jackpot situation.

Play it cool for the next few days … it’s a first round knockdown … there’s some bleeding but we can rally.

    The Plays for Tuesday:

    National League : Pass

    Interleague:

1* Cleveland ( only if you can lay 1 Run … -115 at Pinnacle )

    1* Pittsburgh RL ( +1 ½ -130 )

    1* LA Dodgers -120

    1* Mets -115

    2* Philadelphia -120

    1* Washington +105

    *******************************************

Monday Result: 1-6 …. I counted all the High Line Plays for the record. I didn’t count the parlay. It was either 1 or the other so I took the much larger loss … it’s only right that we do.

    National League:

    1 ½* Chicago Cubs RL (+1 ½ -110 ) Loss

    Interleague:

    1 ½* Houston RL ( +1 ½ -155 ) Loss

    1* Milwaukee -130 Loss

    1 ½* Chicago White Sox -175 ( Lay 1 Run for a reasonable Vig … -1R -128 at Pinnacle) Loss

    1* Texas -135 Won

    1* Washington +125 Loss

    2* Washington RL ( +1 ½ -175 ) Loss

Note: If you can not lay 1 Run with the White Sox consider a 3 team Parlay with

    White Sox –175 L
    Houston RL +1 ½ L
    Washington RL +1 ½ L

    100 pays 306

    **********************************

    The Record:

REGULAR PLAY: first on a flat 100 Imaginary Fazools per game, then on a 100/ Star basis.

    4*

    3 ½* ...….1-0 .... +100 ….. +100 ( counted as a 1* due to high Line )

    3* ….. ... 4-0 ….. +400 ….. +1200

    2 ½* ….. 3-1 ….. +200 ….. +500

    2* ….... 18-10 ….. +565….. +1130

    1 ½* …..16-14 ….. -10 ….. -15

    1* …... 60-68 ….. -1400 ….. -1400

    ½* …... 25-12 …. +1355 … +680

    Summary of all plays:

    INTERLEAGUE PLAY:

Let's get even by Thursday night and pound the Man on the weekend. Don't worry CB, days like yesterday are more the exception than the rule. I for one hope we have seen the last of the John Koronka experiment on the North Side. One question for you though seeing we could get off topic a bit - depending on how Hernandez pitches tonight, how long do you think the two 80 year old Cubans keep it together for the White Sox? El Duque has a tidy 8.59 ERA his last 3 starts and as we saw last night Contrearas was shelled. Those two have pitched out of their minds for the first two and a half months of the year and are a big reason why the Sox are where they are now.

                Back Door Cover

Still way too early to judge Koronka

Cubans show a remarkable longevity and play well past the prime years of American ball players. Hernandez and Contreras can definitely bounce back ... with the summer months ahead and the warmer temperatures .

BDC - That was kind of a bull shit answer ... lol ... I really don't know .

I gave it my best shot , though . lolololo

I like the Pitt runline play today, CB. I just can't figure out why everyone has this game as their POD and even EZ's GOY. The Yankees are 3-7 in their last 10, while Pitt is 6-4. Wells is 5-4 with a 3.39 era and Mussina is 6-4 with a 4.33 era. Pitt's bullpen ERA is ninth in the majors at 3.64, while the yanks are 18th in the majors at 4.18. Matsui has a gimp ankle. Pitt is hitting .301 with 65 runs scored in their 11 games so far in June, while the yanks are hitting .232 with 38 runs scored in 11 games. Pitt is a respectable 14-14 on the road, while the bankees are only 16-13 at home. As far as I can tell, this one should be even money on either side, but oh well. Now watch the Yanks go out and dominate tonight.

                              ctt8410

I remember last College Football Season when I gave out UCLA + 7 at Oregon as one of the strongest plays of the year.

As it turns out Northcoast Sports came with Oregon as their NCAAF GOY . The line went from -7 to -10 and the more they were giving me UCLA the more I was taking.

UCLA won a very easy game that day and a few of us were happy while the rest of the world was miserable.

I'm not influenced by outside forces ... however John ( EZ Winners ) is a person in whom I have nothing but respect.

So here's my hope ... Yanks by 1 run.

                              Everyone is happy.

Thanks for the input , ctt. Feel free to stop in as often as you'd like.
