  • Umpire Zone (Tues)

Todays first game is between Fl and Chic.
Froemming Umpiring: Season Record 3-7 Last 5 Record 1-3

Beckett for Fl had a rough outing last time giving up 7 runs. His stats are:- he is 3-3 O/U Away 7-4 O/U season.
He usually stays consistent and I see him bouncing back with a credible ERA this game.
He is 7-4 3.13 ERA giving up 7 in his last game. Today the strike zone will be to his liking - larger.

    Mitre is 1-1 4.88 1-0 at home 3.72 ERA .
Showing consistency at home more than away.
Mitre won 2-0 over Toronto last game.

Note- Money is pouring in on Cubbies at the moment-- I guess the services are on them- the thought that you are only as good as your last outing comes to mind.

Where do you see money pouring in on the cubs? Line opened around Fla-140 and its now -143 at Pinnacle and 5dimes. Plus only 51% of all bets are on the cubs right now.

Saw it on scores and odds. Not on a gambling site- Assumed (sorry) that it was happening elsewhere. Was at -155 to start with then down to -140 according to this site. Check it out.

                Thanks Moondog
Game # 5 is analytical Venture
Take SD Over- No umpire shows up on my site

                Based upon an outside source
Reason: The over provides plenty of value in this matchup as Jake Peavy squares off against Jason Johnson in Detroit.

Padres starter Jake Peavy has not been in top form as of late, allowing four earned runs in each of his last two starts. Keep in mind that those came against a pair of relatively light hitting squads, the Indians and Brewers. The over is now 7-5 in Peavy's 12 starts this season. The over is also 17-12-1 in the Padres road games this year.

The Tigers will counter with Jason Johnson. He has started to slow down after a hot stretch. Johnson has been dealing with some control issues as of late, issuing nine walks over his last 14 2/3 innings pitched. That will get him into trouble against a Padres squad that knows how to manufacture runs.

This should be a back and forth game, easily sailing over the total in the late innings.
