Got a huge win on Thursday with San Antonio, and hoping for another win in Game 2. Initially, I really liked Detroit in this spot. Off an embarrassing double-digit loss in San Antonio, I looked for the defending champs to bounce back in a big way. Then I realized, and I’m sure that many have you as well, that San Antonio played like shit the first half and still won by 15 points. They could have won by a lot more if they hadn’t taken their foot off of Detroit’s throat. As much as I would like to see a Detroit win, I don’t think its’ going to happen. In short, I am siding with the team that is more balanced, has shaken off the rust from a long lay-off, and has a home record of 45-5 SU (30-18 ATS). I’m second guessing myself here which usually comes back to bite me in the ass. In addition, all of the playoff systems that I use point to a Detroit cover and/or SU win, but my gut instinct tells me otherwise. Good luck either way.
