Has anyone here ever had a hernia operation. I am scheduled to have one wed and i am just wondering how long i will be out of work i need the $$$$$$$ lol. Dr. said its up to the person so i was just wondering if anyone here has been through this before that could give me some advice. Thanks ahead of time for your help

I had a hernia operation about 30 years ago.
It was no big deal-a little discomfort walking afterwards but was back to work in about a week.
I had an appendicitis the year before that;now that was nasty, and there was quite a bit of pain afterwards for a week or two.

A guy on my baseball team has had two in the past 3 years. I believe he missed a day or two of work (if any). I know he only missed two weeks of baseball each time.
