"Scru" Feiner, who has got crushed the last few days but who still claims to be up 190k of late(with his monopoly money),goes with Washington tonight.
Ashton, who from my knowledge is a class guy, and a very good capper unlike "Scammer" Feiner, goes with Phil. today.

*WASHINGTON -133 over Seattle (7:05 EST)

This game is a tale of two pitchers. Ohka has suprised in a pleasent way this season. He had an average month of April giving up roughly 3 runs every 5 innings. However, in his last few outings he has given up 0, 2, and 1 run respectively in 5, 8, and 7 innings pitched. He has had 3 quality starts during the Nats' 7 game winning streak as they come off a sweep of the A's at home. Ohka has dropped his ERA quickly from an 4.5 in April to 1.82 in the month of May. The other half of the pitching duel features Joel Pineiro who is an average pitcher and has been subpar this year, even for his standards. His ERA in the month of April was 5.85, in May it was 7.22, and the month of June it sits at 6.55. He is 3-14 when playing against a team with a winning record over the last 2 seasons and 1-12 on the road as an underdog over the same span. I expect the Nats bats to get to Pineiro early and Ohka to give up a few runs but to hold on to the lead. The Nats are young, scrappy and have momentum galore. They are 21-9 at home this season and tonight make it 22-9. One star on Washington to ride the momentum.

Tonight's selection is going to be Texas.

I realize the Rangers are struggling a bit right now, losing four in a row, but how can I not back them at today's price with Kenny Rogers on the mound?

The 40-year-old Rogers has simply been superb this season, as his 8-2 record and 1.62 ERA attests. Heck, in his last three starts he's allowed a total of 13 hits and three earned runs over a 21-inning stretch.

Rogers is a year older than Florida's Al Leiter, but the Marlins' "youngster" is on the downside of his career. He's 2-6 with a 6.45 ERA on the season and is nothing more than a five-inning hurler - at best - any longer.

Making matters worse for the Florida faithful: The Marlins have lost 9 of Leiter's 11 starts, and they've averaged a paltry 3.3 runs in those outings.

With Rogers an outstanding 4-1 on the road with a 1.05 ERA, and Leiter a miserable 1-4 with a 10.44 ERA at home, there's only one way to go, and that's with the Rangers.

                3* RANGERS on a 1* to 5* basis
