Been awhile, but had a chance to do some capping since I needed to get back to my roots after getting raped liked Ned Beatty in Deliverance.....**WHEEEE.....WHEEE**
So figured I'd come back with a Huggie Bear play tonight, which is:
TB/Pitt OVER 8'

The D-Rays have been swinging the bats pretty well lately, averaging 6+ runs a game in their last 2 series. In fact, they have the 2nd best team BA in the league, behind Baltimore. However, their pitching staff has been getting pummelled, especially their bullpen. Look at their last 3 games vs. Cincy, their bullpen has had to pitch 12 2/3 innings which is more than their starters went (12 total). In those 12.2 IP, they gave up a whopping 19 runs and teams hit a whopping .356. Tonight, they toss Hideo Nomo, who in his last 2 starts against Oakland and Seattle (25th and 27th in the league in BA), had an ERA of 9.90 and a WHIP of 2.50. If Nomo struggles early, and the Rays have to go to their pen, it could get ugly.
Pittsburgh has hit the ball well their last 2 games. Redman was excellent in his last outing, losing a heartbreaker to the punchless Braves, 1-0. However, he did struggle in his 3 previous starts, posting a 5.51 ERA.
I expect Nomo to get hit hard early, and the bullpen to make Sweet Lou go even more gray. Looking for a 7-4 Pirates win, and Huggie Bear to pimp it up.
Other plays.....Atlanta, Angels, Baltimore, St. Louis, Dodgers, Cleveland.
Good luck to all.....
