Sport: MLB - Baseball
Game: Chicago White Sox @ San Diego Padres on Jun 10 2005 10:05PM
Prediction: Over
Current Line: -102
Over/Under: 7.5 -116
Reason: This total would have been accurate earlier this season, when Jon Garland was untouchable. However now that he has come back to Earth, the value lies with the over.
Garland owns a 6.41 ERA over his last three starts, and has yielded 16 earned runs over his last three road outings. There has been an average of 11 runs scored in his six road starts this season. Despite the fact that the Padres have struggled at the plate as of late, they should be capable of touching Garland up for a few runs here.
Padres starter Woody Williams is making just his second start since coming off the D.L. He will have a tough time slowing down the White Sox offense, which is hitting a whopping .318 over their last 10 games. There has been an average of 9 runs per game scored in Williams' seven starts this year.
The over is 8-1-1 in Chicago's last 10 games overall and I don't see that trend changing on Friday. This one sails over the total. Take the over.-we can share the women, we can share the wine
