Heres a little story that should make the working man proud:
I quit my job yesterday. I had a long talk with my boss, and things didnt work out. so anyways, I wanted to get my tools off my work truck, but he was blocking the doorway of the room we were in, and getting pushy, he wanted my truck key. I wanted my tools, So i went past him, but he had his nephew blocking the back. So I was like let me get my tools, what the hell. So I went out the front door, and as I'm going through I get pushed from behind, and I fell down and scraped my knee and hit my head. I got up and screamed I'm gonna sue your ass, his brother got in between us, but my anger got the best of me and I punched the boss who pushed me right in the nose!! His glasses went flying and he stood there dazed as a trickle of blood came down his face. So I called the police and gave them my story, my boss of course lied like he always does and said I tripped. I doubt anything is going to come of it, as I believe neither side is going to press charges. I also instantly became the office hero, especially to the last 10 people that just quit. That is my tale, hope you enjoyed it, by the way I did eventually get my tools.

Sorry you got into the scrape ... but if you have any doubt that your employer is a bastard and that he might be foolish enough to sue then you might want to consult with an attorney. He should take the case on contingency ... no up front money from you ... his end is a percentage of the settlement.

Your attorney might want to initiate a suit of your own ... first ... just in case... And it was a good idea that YOU called the police rather than them.

Mention to him that there were 2 or 3 of THEM and 1 of you and that you were fearful for your safety and acted accordingly.

Having witnesses present sure does help.

That is terrible that you lost your job but on top of that what you went through to get your tools back ... I hate hearing this kind of stuff ... I wish you nothing but the best buddy and you do not deserve this ... I am sure you will land on your feet and be on top again very soon ... Good Luck my friend ...

Thanks guys, CB the only problem being is that I hit him as well(he might have a broken nose), the police said we both can file assault charges. I could have stood there and done nothing, and he would have been arrested, but I had to defend my dignity and honor, as a man and a human being, that being said, man it felt good

A left cross, my fist fit right into his stupid face like a glove!!! could only throw that punch since his brother was right in front of me, he also walked into it a bit. He stood there gaping and dazed. It did'nt even hurt my hand at all, but i did scuff my knuckle a little on his glasses

Thanks CB, I play guitar righty, but I'm kinda ambidextrious(sp?), kick and throw frisbies and now I guess punches also, lefty, and most other things righty. I have had some close calls on my left hand, broke pinky twice(but this actually helps as it points away now, can reach further on frets, which is good since I have small fingers), got ring finger smashed/cut I was lying on a bench doing presses,while putting a dumbell on floor at the gym, there was another dumbell on the floor & squish, man that was a gusher(should have sued that gym, but I was a dumb college kid). And finally 2 years ago a roof hatch door closed on my hand(same left ring finger, we know how important that 1 is!) at work and tore my fingernail off and cut the other side of finger. That took a long time to heal, couldn't play for almost a year, but I can play now thankfully

Beard - I play righty but throw and do lots other things lefty same as you .
