When capping an MLB game there are certain things I look at w/ a heavier significance on some than others:
1. Starting pitching matchup
2. Bullpens
3. Streaks/Hot.... ie. winning, hot hitting, etc,
4. Home Team
5. Ball Park and type of pitcher
6. Weather
7. History
Not necessarily in that order.
Now, looking at Interleague play. Logically, one would assume that more significance should be placed on the starting pitchers when factoring in the fact that there is less familiarity b/t the pitcher and the opposing lineup. Good pitching beats good hittin' every day, therefore good pitchin' vs. unfamiliar hittin' should equate to a larger advantage.... ya'd think.
Any thoughts on this as it pertains to cappin' MLB games?
