  • Home Teams are very tough in Game 7s

    YTD: 89-83 +6.2 units
    4* 0-1
    3* 2-0
    2* 12-4
    1* 14-5

    1* Heat ML (-130)
First of all, Wade is going to play. It's the second biggest game of his life (final four vs. Kansas arguably the only one bigger) and he's a game guy. Will he be 100%? No. And his type injury will impede all the stretching and flying he does. Also, Shaq is still far from 100%. So why take Miami? They are a much better team and home teams in game 7 of NBA playoffs are very hard to beat. They key to this game will be Miami's defense. The Pistons often go into long slumps where they can't score. That should happen at least once tonight. This game is likely to be close. I urge a money line bet, laying the juice as I strongly believe the Heat will win but also think it will be competitive. (This is my only money line bet of the season but I believe the circumstances of tonight's game call for laying the extra juice, given that it's only an extra 20 cents.)

GL man--You are right about teams at home, but I dont know if I would say the Heat "are a much better team"

                Pistons defending champs!!

So far Wade has carried Heat in all their wins.
Shaq and him both less than healthy I'll pump
a piston. Wade at less than 85% no win and
this team did win championship against very
similar Laker team. Going to stick with champs.

In the last 30 Game 7s of conference finals, the home time is 23-7 SU. That's pretty strong.

I also urge folks to remember the end of game 5 Thursday night in Miami. Wade went out with over 10:00 left but Detroit not only didn't make up any ground, the Pistons floundered on offense.

I disagree that the Heat are the better team. I think Detroit is more talented. The key to this game will be the officiating. If the officials give the marginal calls to the home team then the Heat will win. If they call a fair game then the Pistons have a good shot.

                    GL on the Heat.

I agree! However, game 5 had more to do with the Pistons poor shooting than the Miami defense. Detroit missed many open jumpers.

I know the home team has a huge advantage in game 7. As I stated above I believe much of that has to do with the officiating. Of all the major sports NBA officials are by far the worst.

GL Gris. ESPN showed this morning that Home Teams in Game 7 are 74 wins out of 94 games played!! That's good enough for me!

Yes but also remember this.. Wade DID NOT play in game 6 and they lost by 25... I said this once and i will say it again.. A NON 100% Wade + A NON 100% Shaq= LOSERS... Detroit wins this game tonight..
