Cincinnati Reds at Colorado Rockies, Sunday, June 5, 2005 3:05 P.M. EST EST
Even with last night's near miss the Rockies have gone over in three of the last four on this homestand. This is a Sunday day game, the bullpen's are a bit worn out and the ball should fly farther in the day. The Reds have all those big fly ball hitters and have gone over the total five of the last eight at Coors. CINCINNATI is also 31-14 OVER as a road underdog of +100 to +150 over the last 2 seasons while COLORADO is 13-4 OVER after a win this season.

Once again we have to leave out several strong drivers due to the lack of wagering value--Ryan Newman (+585) and Jimmy Johnson (+850) are certainly capable of winning here, but we'll pass on them due to the better value on the drivers above. Newman, in particular, is a pretty scary guy to leave out with 3 wins in 6 races at Dover. Jeremy Mayfield has been very strong in practice (fastest times at both practices) but at +750 he's not much of a value either. Dale Earnhardt Jr. has always been strong at this track, and is priced attractively (+3039 at Pinnacle) but until he gets the soap opera stuff surrounding his team in check hard to back him. We will use Ryan Newman in a matchup against Jeremy Mayfield:
The Royals four game run came to a screeching halt Saturday as they fell 14-9 to the Rangers (31-23). KC looks to be in a difficult spot as they hand the ball to Zack Greinke (1-6 4.23). Greinke did snap a 14 game winless streak Tuesday against Yankees however a 2-13 team start mark against heavy hitting Rangers spells trouble for a pitcher who has given up 2 Jacks, 13 runs in his last 15 innings of work. The Rangers are 4-1 vs Kansas City this season outscoring theRoyals 34-18 in the process get their runs early and often as Kenny Rogers (7-2 1.65) looking to notch his eight consecutive victory keeps Royals off the base path. Rogers allowing only five runs during his winning streak will be more than Royals bats can handle. Two stars on Texas.
