As a dog player always seeking value, this one really jumps out. The favorite, the Yankees, are cold, on the road against the team with the third best record in the league and going with a pitcher whose team's record is 5-6 in his starts. Gotta like this. The Yankees are just in a funk but continue to get lines like they're in first place. Mussina is 5-3 but the team is 5-6 in his starts. Lohse is 4-3 but the Twins are 5-3 in his starts. Lohse has a tiny ERA of 2.21 in his last three starts and averaged seven innings in those starts which is important because the Twins bullpen got used up last night in an extra inning win (a legitimate negative for my pick but with dogs you're going to have negatives).
