    How to Participate

Wherever you are, observe the Moment at 3 p.m., local time, on Memorial Day. Ask others to remember—relatives, friends, church, neighborhood, or co-workers to observe the Moment at places such as your neighborhood, local pool, picnic grounds, etc., for one minute of Remembrance. Participation can be informal as ringing a bell three times to signify the Moment.

It really puts things in perspective and makes you thankful! I know I am!
If that does not put a tear in your eye and a lump in your throat you do not have blood running through your veins ...

Great Job guys- LSU great pics
I have had a full day in the water with beads and breasts and music, yesterday. Anyone I came across and others that spotted a vet was honored. Home Depot provides a 10 % off for all vets. Being a disabled vet, I am sitting back and taking in the moment- I believe on the History Channel at around six is Portrait of my father. Suppose to be very good. I've only heard about it from others. I lit 3 candles and said a prayer for the Vets in the field, a prayer for the Vets still trying to make sense of their emotional and physical pain, and the Vets who have died onor off the battlefield. My Mom just related that in England - my Dad stayed in a quanset hut by himself for three weeks because all the B-17 and B24 pilots had been killed or MIA in his group. When the next group came in-no one wanted to sleep in the quanset hut because they felt it was jinxed. A sign was later erected- IF CAPTAIN Y---- CAN DO IT - SO CAN YOU. Peace be to all of you and thanks for the honor granted to all Vets.

Moment Of Silence At 3:00 CDT

Today I am reminded of what was given by some of your generation, my generation, my father's generation and the generations before them in the name of freedom, so that my generation and your generation could do what we do in the world today.

At 3:00 CDT, I will do as Big Mike posted. I will say a prayer for all who have given their lives in the name of freedom, and for all who are protecting our great Country today. I will be viewing these photos while doing so...
