NCAA FREEBIE: INDIANA Mike Davis worked miracles last year nearly running the table with his Hoosiers. We know all about the struggles Indiana experienced during the year but we look at this from a point of momentum as the Hoosiers put together a decent run to end the year covering 3 straight in the Big-10 tournament to finish. Their opponents did the epitome of backing into the dance as the absence of UGA in the tournament due to the scumbags Tony Cole/Harrick situation left the selection committee with an SEC open spot. It was Bama and Auburn benefiting as the Tide were ousted in the 1st round of the tournament by lowly Vanderbilt 82-69. The hotter team covers.

    Here's your free selection guys...

Purdue meets LSU in a Big 10/SEC first-round battle in Birmingham this afternoon.

Purdue limps in a loser of six of its last nine, while LSU had won seven in a row before losing to Mississippi State in the SEC semifinals.

LSU has a stellar defense, allowing a mere 62.7 PPG. And the Tigers have the inside physical game that will give the Boilermakers problems all day long. And get this: Purdue is a lousy 6-17 ATS the past three seasons against good defensive teams such as LSU that allow 64 or less points a game.

LSU has covered 10 of its last 12 games, and the Tigers are 11-4 ATS in March over the past three seasons. Look for the Tiger defense to stifle Purdue, as LSU wins by 10-or-more points in a game played in the heart of SEC country

      Superior Sports
      Today's Pick: Philadelphia -9
      NBA Pick for Friday
      Philadelphia @ Atlanta

We will be playing Philadelphia -9 to Atlanta today. Several weeks ago this match up would have been ugly vs. ugly. After all, Philadelphia boasts some of the worst looking home numbers in the entire NBA. In fact, they are just 11-22 ATS at home and an even worse 4-11 ATS at home vs. teams with a losing record. And all of that data points to the 76ers being a solid play against… right? Not even close!!!

The 76ers played at Detroit last night and were beaten soundly, but it is worth noting they are a solid 9-6 ATS on 0 days rest and an excellent 21-12-2 ATS off a straight up loss this season. Moreover, Philadelphia has won an incredible 15 of their last 18 games overall and 11 of their last 16 games ATS. This is as good of example as any, why recent team trends outweigh season trends in all most every situation.

Atlanta’s will be playing their 3rd consecutive road game and they have gone 0-3 straight up and 1-2 ATS in those 3 respective contests. On the season, the Hawks are an awful 12-24 ATS on the road and an even more pathetic 4-11 ATS on the road vs. teams with a winning record. Note also that Atlanta is just 3-14 ATS priced as a dog of +6 to +9.5 this year.

The Hawks have surprisingly taken the first two meetings of the season series both straight up and ATS. That includes a chocking 14 point win at the First Union Center as a 9 point dog. No doubt, Philadelphia will have revenge on their minds and are now playing well enough to pound this road weary Hawks team.

Our Prediction: Philadelphia 104 Atlanta 86
      GOOD LUCK ALL !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Free Winners for Friday, March 21
        NBA BASKETBALL
        Boston @ LA Lakers
        Pick: Boston +10.5
        Time: 10:30 PM EST

Today the National Sports Advisors look for Boston to cover as +10.5 underdogs, when they take on the Lakers in Los Angeles tonight.

Boston enter tonight's game with an overall record of 38-30, including 16-18 on the road. The Celtics have been struggling of late, having lost four of their last six games. Their last two losses were particulary troublesome, as Boston was ambushed at home by 13 against New Jersey and by 30 points at Indiana. Boston does own a three game winning streak over the Lakers, including a 98-95 victory in Boston back on November 7th, 2002.

The Lakers come into tonight's game with an overall record of 38-29, including 24-10 at home. The Lakers played lastnight in Sacramento, as they suffered a 107-99 defeat at the hands of their top western conference rival. The Lakers are 3-1 ATS in their last four outings and 33-35 ATS overall this season.

So why BOSTON? Well, Boston will have fresher legs in this game and they have shown that they can keep games close against the Lakers over the past couple seasons. This game has much more significance and importance to Boston in the clustered Eastern Conference race, and we look for the Celtics to play well tonight.
        GOOD LUCK ALL !!!!!!!!!!!!!
