When you're a dog player like me you look for value. This is extreme value. Houston is a shocking 2-20 on the road! 2-20!Yet, the Astros are big faves tonight because Clemens is pitching and the Cubs are countering with Sergio Mitre, just called up from AAA. While the pitching matchup obviously favors Houston, remember that Houston does not score runs. It is, to me at least, insane to make a team a healthy favorite when it wins only 9 percent of its road games.

Gris, good analysis. Clemens has been pitching very well but Houston is not winning. He's not getting any run support. Last season Randy Johnson was a great fade playing for a lousy Arizona team. Early this season Clemens is facing the same fate.

Johnson and Clemens will end up in NY together?

The point Frank made about Clemens and Randy Johnson is excellent. Bettors will look at Clemens' ERA and be sucked into playing him game after game, just like Johnson and the D-Backs burned money as favorites last year. Tonite, Clemens did his part but the bullpen caves and the Astros two runs aren't enough. And I get a win. This could happen a lot this year's version of 2004 Arizona, Houston.
