Spurs (1-0) @ Suns-- Phoenix depth is hurting without Johnson in lineup; Barry's 21 points off bench was huge in Game 1 win by Spurs, who shot 51.7% from floor in upset win. Suns now 1-3 vs San Antonio this year, with only win in lowest scoring game of the four. Nash being offset by Parker in this series, so Suns need Richardson to step up and make some big shots. Spurs battle tested club with championship rings- they scored 115,128,121 points in their three wins vs Phoenix this season.

              13) AL teams were 23-19 vs NL clubs in interleague play. AL pitchers hit one homer (Sabathia) in 36 ABs, while NL DH's hit one tater in 93 at bats.

              12) Attendance at interleague play is up 13.4% over other games, since the new format began.

              11) Cubs' P Zambrano was told to lay off typing on his computer so much, as they think it might be part of his elbow problems. So much for pitchers as athletes.

              10) Northwestern University won its first national title in any sport since 1941 when it won woman's lacrosse national title in Annapolis Sunday. Good for them.

              9) Defending NBA champs are 12-5 in playoff series against top seeded teams in a conference, such as the Miami-Detroit series we have going on now.

              8) Bears stupidly cut K Edinger and replaced him with Doug Brien, which costs them at least 8 yards in range on field goals. Edinger will be excellent pickup for club that needs strong legged kicker (most everyone).

              7) We will get into this subject more indepth later this spring, but Chicago's offense was truly horrendous last season, finishing last in points per possession in drives starting 80+ yards from goal line, less than 50 yards from goal line, and on drives that reached red zone, so they need some serious upgrading, and adding kicker with a weaker leg makes very little sense.

              6) Big gamble remaking classic movies, such as ones coming out this year, Bad News Bears and Longest Yard. We'll see how they do, but very tough acts to follow. The originals were classics.

              5) Randy Johnson has failed to strike out a batter just four times in 488 career starts.

              4) Angels' bullpen allowed just three of their first 39 inherited baserunners to score this season.

              3) Thanks to DirecTV, saw Ichiro Suzuki, rob a home run from an opposing hitter for second time this year against the Padres this weekend. What a star he is.

              2) Orlando Magic GM Weisbrod resigned, so that he could pursue a position in hockey. You look at resume of this guy, and ask, how in God's name was he put in charge of an NBA franchise? He's a hockey player, for the love of Pete. No wonder some teams lose.

              1) Ever wonder what actor has been killed off in the most movies ever? Would be interesting to know that

Thanks again, Spark! When I get the chance to take advantage of this great info and play, I wish my job allowed time to pick a ticket and play every day! This is just the best fun!

From above: 12) Attendance at interleague play is up 13.4% over other games, since the new format began.

Spark, hammy and Doc, what do you guys feel about interleague? I'm a traditionalist, I guess, but I must admit that I'm getting a kick out of some of these "natural geographic rivalry" games.

dog, I like it cause it gives you a chance to see your team playing others that they have not played in years back ... I am also a firm believer in every player batting .. That is good to see in national league parks ..

I do not like the rule of the winner of the all-star game getting home field advantage .. Now that sucks I think ...

Yessir! I'm with you on the "home field advantage" rule, Spark! I just noticed in your icks that you took Washington/Cinci over. Now I'm nervous! I pulled an under play on that game out of the info! Good luck to you, Spark! I'll gladly bite the bullet and hang an L in that one if it helps you cash a great night!
