RE: the Atlanta game...Chipper being out is a certain blow to Atlanta but in my opinion the fact that Mondesi is sitting on the bench is a positive thing. He has been awful this entire season and if Langerhans can get back into the form he was in at the beginning of the long road trip the Braves just finished, they're almost better off without Mondesi.

After a 4-8 road trip I definitely see the Braves coming out strong in this series vs. the Mets. First game back from a long road trip is always an iffy proposition but if they don't win tonight expect them to take the next 2 games of the series.

No way the Braves lose their first home series after 4 straight road series. Mark my words

I did cut back to 1/2 size bets, but nevertheless, Sunday was painful. I hate to miss a rebound day - but I think I'll take the night off completely to see how things go. You're due to bounce back and I hate to miss the day it happens...

Thanks for the input and the encouragement. I know there was a lot of clowing around here today ... we usually try to keep our Report Thread serious for the most part ... just lettin off a little steam with our buddies .

Sure is hard to "look everyone straight in the eye " when we're enduring a down trend ... we take our work so seriously that it hurts sometimes.

I'm here to take the brunt of it .... and I accept the responsibility.

BUT ALL YOU GUYS BLOW MY MIND and I mean that in a good way.
