A few short notes:
First , a word or two on record keeping … although we knew ahead of time to play the weekend real close to the vest The 3 Wise Men are still counting the weekend’s results for full value . With intangibles like this and a few perks now and then we’ll all realize at season’s end that we will have done a lot better than what our bottom line will indicate. We are not about “window dreassing “ … that’s the least of our concerns.
In addition … we may start eliminating –140 plays soon and set our limit to –130 or -135 tops. I want to consult with my partners first. I’m sure you’ll agree it’s not in all our best interests to have to hit 60% of those kinds of plays and break even laying –150 ( or lose with >-150 ) Not our style. All the fine Cappers in BC have their own way of shearing sheep. We have ours …We don’t like vig.
The Plays for Sunday:
1 ½* Pittsburgh -140 or less
1* Arizona -105
1* Toronto -135
1* Atlanta +105
2* San Diego -115
½* San Diego ( -1 ½ +135 )
½* Angels of Anaheim +135
1* Oakland –115
Note: The Angels, Yankees and Indians all look like dynamite Run Line plays at +1 ½ but the lines are high.
Alert
If you cant get Pittsburgh at -140 or better, then consider laying 1 Run
with them at even money .
Frank B did that with the Mets last week and I passed it on to you (
remember ? ) and we won.
(Pittsburgh today falls into a similar situation today as the Mets did last
week )
