Orlando Predators -3.5
Sun May 22 '05 3:00p
New Orleans comes into this game against Orlando in a position to clinch a wild card spot and play off birth with a victory here today. If the Voodoo should lose it means instant death as they will be eliminated from post season play. The Preds also need a win here today or a miraculous Columbus win over Tampa Bay to guarantee a play off appearance. So needless to say this contest is of the utmost importance to both of these squads championship aspirations. Bottom line: Orlando is healthy for the first time in over a month and is playing on two weeks of rest. It must also be noted that the Predators defeated this same Voodoo squad earlier this season on Bayou turf by a score of 63-52 as 3.5 point underdogs. Not a good omen considering the Voodoo chances here today as they are 1-6 ATS L/7 playing in revenge mode. Look for home field advantage and what I believe is a superior Predators squad to get a victory and cover here in what should be hard fought affair. Final notes: New Orleans is a bankroll depleting 0-7 ATS versus division opponents this season. Orlando is 3-0 SU/ATS vs NO lifetime........(Buy off the hook)

San Francisco Giants (115)
Thu May 19 '05 3:05p
Tomko is the sharper of these two starting pitchers right now, and that along with the fact that the Giants have hit southpaws well this season makes San Francisco an attractive underdog here.
Tomko has issued a total of just 2 walks while allowing 21 hits in 21 innings over his last 3 starts, which translates to a sparkling 1.10 WHIP. He pitched well the last time he faced Colorado allowing only 2 runs and 5 hits, and Tomko sparkled in his only afternoon start this year allowing 2 runs in 6 1/3 innings. The Rockies are batting .275 as a team vs. right-handers this year, but that figure is obviously Coors-aided, and it is over 30 points lower than their ridiculous .307 average vs. left-handers.
On the other hand, the Giants are hitting a legitimate .300 vs. southpaws at sea level, which does not bode well for young Francis here. Francis has struggled lately after a promising start to the season posting a 5.09 ERA with a high 1.58 WHIP over his last 3 starts. Worst of all, two of those three starts came on the road, so you can not blame the altitude. He has also gotten crushed in both of his career starts vs. San Francisco, allowing 8 and 6 runs respectively while failing to last 5 innings in either start!

Good day yesterday in the bases, which still doesn't make me happy
with where we're at for the week, but we'll see if we can get it back
and then some today.
Philly -109 over St. Louis
Under 9 (-125)
Looking for a pitchers duel today with Marquis and Myers, and I would
not be surprised to see a lot of reserves in the lineup this
afternoon in a day game. Myers has been rock solid this year, and I
think they squeek one out today.
Good luck to all that follow!
