It always bothered me that 1) Sox got the shit end of the stick with Jeremy and 2)that the talent level of the brothers was so great;one would think that Jeremy could be at least a little bit of what Jason was(can't say is any more).

Well Wayne, several years ago there used to be a professional sport whose object was to hit a thing called a puck with a stick into a net guarded by a guy called a goalie;it was called hockey.
It seems this season though owners, players and their representatives were all greedy/self serving and unwilling to compromise on anything, and didn't give a rat's ass about the fans who paid their salaries.
Therefore even though all concerned were literally "cutting off their noses to spite their face",there was no season.
Maybe next season people will come to their senses;more likely it will happen simply because too many paychecks are being missed.
