  • Most Memorable Bet you Placed?

I remember it was during March Madness in the year with Jason Kidd. I just remembered on the first day of the tournament I had lost $20,00. No matter what I played it was a loss.

Its not even close. I had 350 on UConn 2 Years ago against Duke. Being a huge Ga Tech Fan I had won on the Money Line for Ga Tech to go to the finals. I am a small better with usuall bets of 50-100 range. Ill never forget being on the Phone with my girlfriend-explaining her my bet on Uconn and how I would lose on a BS shot. My Dad (a conspiracy theorist in gambling aka Saints run back kick and miss extra point) told me that money was on UConn so I could not win the bet-- and sure enough DUHON FOR 3 and its good-- a 40 foot bank shot. I was not even pissed because it was a guaranteed loss.

I remember this game!! I was at my hotel bar in Dallas and everyone there except me was cheering for UCONN, I was on Duke. I went crazy when Duhon's shot banked in. Everyone in there looked at me like I was crazy, because Duke still lost! I told my buddy, I can't believe I just won that game and this dick beside us said, hey bud, they still lost!! Little did he know I had the +points!!!

Had a dime on UConn -2 vs. Duke in that infamous semifinal game.

Why do you always remember the bad beats?

A most memorable week...June 2001 found 40-1 odds on "The Field" for the US Open Golf Championship...layed $500 @ 40-1. "The Field" wager, if you are not familiar with golf plays, consisted of approximately 70 players, about 140 enter the tourny and the field is cut to 70 + Ties after 2 days. One of the 70 players in "The Field" was Ratief Goosen, the eventual winner. The tournament actually finished with 2 players tied. In the US Open the playoff is 18 holes the following day. Both players were "field" players making me a winner no matter who won the playoff...What a great Monday*** $20,000*** richer I never enjoyed watching golf as much as I did that day. The wager was placed Sportsbook.com who promptly paid the wager.

Needless to say I have not been able to find this wager at even close to those odds since. However, "The Field" has not hit since 2001.

Sure could use another like that...

My most satisfying bet was way back in High School. My buddy and I bet I couldnt get in our english Lit teachers pants. She was so hot I frequently shot a load or two in the pot just thinking of her. We bet if i did happen to get lucky with her he would streak across the field of our homecoming football game. I was lousy in english and i was no valedictiorn so I convinced her too tutor me. I went a couple weeks and i was having know luck she was always right to business studying was getting pretty bad. We were about done with our sessions when I just flat out told her I wanted to make love to her like a wild INDIAN she replied just how does a wild Indian make love. So I showed her it was great she really let me have every thing. But i couldnt tell my buddy the truth because I didnt want to get her in trouble at school. So I got a ski mask and i made my trip across the 50 yard line as naked as jay bird made a couple hand stands and ran off the field like a striiped ass ape and hid out freezing my nuts off waiting for the excitment to die down It was truly a great senior year.

Knowlez-I think you should give Herbie part of the credit for winning that bet.
By the way, how did the herbster behave when you ran across the field?
