The guy from the Boston Herald-since in all the years of reading the paper he has never once stated his name, lets give him a name and call him Harold from the Herald.
Anyways Harold likes Tampa Bay and Arizona.
Carpenter and Lowe face off this afternoon as the Cardinals go for three of four from the Dodgers. Both of these pitchers have been hit or miss this season. Last night, the Cardinals exploded led by Eckstein and Walker's bats to beat the Dodgers. The Dodgers got out to a fast start that saw them tearing into opposing pitchers, but this team is not an offensive power, far from it actually. Had Jeff Kent not been hot, this team would be lucky to be a .500 club. We are getting good value here with Carpenter and the Cards. St. Louis has played well against the Dodg at Busch going 7-3 over the last three seasons, and Lowe was crushed his last time out this last weekend. Home favorites with a starting pitcher whose WHIP is 1.250 to 1.350 on the season and a struggling bullpen whose ERA is over 7.00 the last 10 games are 49-15 since 1997. Two stars on the Cards.
