An improving offensive line has helped the recent emergence in the starting lineup of sophomore QB Jason Campbell and TB Ronnie Brown, who has taken over for sophomore Carnell ``Cadillac'' Williams, the team's top rusher who is out for with a broken leg. On defense, junior LB Karlos Dansby has made big plays along with with senior LB Mark Brown and junior LB Dontarrious Thomas. Senior All-America PK Damon Duval leads on special teams. The Crimson Tide are loaded at the RB spot, led by juniors Shaud Williams and Santonio Beard. Both senior Tyler Watts, the better runner, and redshirt freshman Brodie Croyle, a passing threat, have been used at QB. Senior DTs Jarret Johnson and Kenny King and junior ROV Brooks Daniels head the defense.

Freshman RB Yamar Washington and sophomore FL Courtney Roby have had solid efforts. The defense is led by sophomore Herana-Daze Jones and freshman John Kerr at LB. The Boilermakers, who like to spread the field, have the conference's top offense (449.1 ypg.). Freshman QB Brandon Kirsch has provided a spark with support coming from junior Joey Harris and redshirt freshman Brandon Jones at RB and junior WR John Standeford (102.7 ypg.).     Bragging rights for the Palmetto state. The Gamecocks' shouldn't need any motivation to break out of their recent offensive slump. Drastic changes were made last week as senior QB Corey Jenkins was moved to FS on defense and redshirt sophomore backup Dondrial Pinkins came in to direct the run-oriented offense. Help is needed from senior RB Andrew Pinnock and senior WR Ryan Brewer, who has been injured. The Tigers have put their confidence in redshirt freshman QB Charlie Whitehurst, who has given some spark to the offense, which also includes all-purpose sophomore WR-KR Derrick Hamilton, senior WR J.J. McKelvey and junior WR Kevin Youngblood. Junior LB John Leake, graduate DT Nick Eason, and senior CB Brian Mance head the defense.
