Looks to be another one of those what IS.....IS NOT.....Sundays! So far cashed in TWO BIG DOGS but losing the parlay on the Washdumbs pitching job.
*Lowly Puddy Tats whacking the Angels (my fault for even remotely thinking Washtub for LAA is an MLB Pitcher).
*KC taking down the Whoreioles big
*Rockies smoking the Fish
*Cublets actually winning a game
*Brewers taking out the Muttleys
*Nats leading and going for the broom
*Pitt leading Arz again
I THINK I WILL ADD A SMALL PLAY TONIGHT ON:
These two starters have public under written all over them (typical CURRENT ACE OF THE STAFF TYPE THINKING) until you look at some numbers.
2.5* CINN/LAD (O)10
Look at Weavers opponents hitting 307 lefties and 317 righties against him.
ERA DAY IS 6.00 and NIGHT is 5.75 both sky high
Weaver only has gone 6-6-4 innings last three giving up 2-5-8 runs
HOME ERA is 5.55 which is BAD BUT ROAD ERA is 6.00!!!!
UNCLE MILTY has faired not much better with a DAY ERA OF 4.96 and A NIGHT ERA of 6.61!!!
MILTON HAS NOT MADE IT PAST 6 INNINGS LAST 4 OUTINGS EITHER!
NOW WE HAVE NOT EVEN BROUGHT IN THE ERA OF THE REDS PIGPEN YET which is next to WORST ONLY TO THE ROCKIES AND BUNG HOLE QUIMMS BOYS.
Did I mention the weather will be HOT IN SMALL AMERICA PARK THIS evening so the ball should travel when you get it up. Weaver has a major problem with that. He is a GB pitcher but loses focus and fly balls start cranking up.
If you believe the Dodgers will win the game that is also one set of extra at bats for run potential. (every little edge helps)
