Celtics @ Pacers (3-2)-- Again, Boston scored 102 and 110 points in their wins; 79,76,85 in their losses- they're 17-31 on treys in their wins, 10-39 in losses, so in must win situation, they have to go to Conseco and make lot of jumpers. Pacers prefer a halfcourt game; all three of their wins stayed under the total, but home side is 2-3 in this series. Pacers are 3-0 if they shoot 35% or higher.

Rockets @ Mavericks (3-2)-- Dallas won last three in a row; last four series games were decided by four points or less. 74 free throws in Game 5, as politics has made this an impossible series to officiate- Ming was 10-16 on line in Game 5. Three of last four series games went over the total. Home team is 1-4 in series. Mavs' worst FG% in last four games is 45.8%, so they're getting good shots

            13) How weird that this playoff series could wind up back at Detroit-Indiana. Seriously, and I mean this 100%, in the interest of fairness, they should let Ron Artest play in this series.

As long as he's done promoting his rap album.

Why should the Pistons benefit from one of their fans almost starting a riot?

            12) If you took all the major league teams and had a track meet, the Devil Rays would win easily. They are having a harder time winning at baseball.

            11) Starting pitching in baseball is like an offensive line in football; without it, you have no chance.

            10) Do umpires and referees have agents?

            9) This weekend was Cap Weekend at the Hideous Ballpark in the Bronx, where the $200 million ballclub plays. I say "was" because someone hijacked half the shipment of caps that were going to be given away this weekend. This hasn't been the best of seasons in the Bronx, and hopefully, it will only get worse.

            8) Colorado Rockies have already used ten rookies this season. They are 1-12 on the road. Next may be a rookie manager and a rookie GM.

            7) Denver Broncos recently sold John Elway's old locker on eBay for $8,100.

            6) The Twins appear to have a better chance of getting their new stadium than the Marlins do of getting theirs. By 2008, there will be a major league team in Las Vegas, probably either the Fish or the A's.

            5) The very second that baseball approves a team in Vegas, Pete Rose should be reinstated. Not to manage the club, no, but again, as a bastion of fairness, I suggest that if a team can live in Vegas, we can all forgive Pete for his past sins.

            4) Rick Neuheisel still thinks he got fired for entering that March Madness pool. Hey, you got fired for lying through your teeth about interviewing for the 49ers' job, and for those tiny little recruiting violations. The pool was a convenient excuse.

            3) Think about this for a second: If every person who entered a March Madness pool lost his or her job, the unemployment rate would be like Iraq's.

            2) Florida's 2.28 team ERA in April was the lowest April ERA in the big leagues since the Cubs posted a 2.16 mark in 1985.

            1) Tom Glavine was 242-143 for the Braves. He is a Hall of Famer, but 1-7, 9.36 against his former team.
