Big Al. Celtics are 4*, Nets are 3*,
thursday
Our 3 selections include the Celtics, Nets, and the 'over' in the
Twins/Royals game.
Boston Celtics -- At 8:30 pm, our selection is on the Boston Celtics,
as Doc Rivers' crew falls into a GAME 3 Playoffs system that's 5-31
ATS since 1990, including 0-21 ATS its last 21 plays! This system
involves playing against a team off a SU/ATS win of 12 points or
less, if the series is tied at 1 game apiece, and our foe has a
won/loss percentage less than .737. Pacer guard Stephen Jackson
(scoring over 20 ppg in the series) got banged up in the first half
of Game 2, and Rick Carlisle's squad won't be able to overcome that
injury. Boston in a rout!
New Jersey Nets --At 7 pm, our selection is on the New Jersey Nets,
who fall into a 10-0 ATS system. What we want to do is play on any
underdog of 5 points or less that's off a loss (both SU and ATS) of 8
points or more, if its foe is off 4 or more point spread wins. Miami
has indeed covered its last 4 games, and defeated the Nets on Tuesday
night, 104-87, as an 8.5-point favorite. Look for New Jersey to snap
its 7-game losing streak to Stan Van Gundy's Heat tonight. Take the
points.
KC/Minnesota 'over' -- At 2:05pm our selection is Minnesota at Kansas
City 'over' the total. Whenever Kyle Lohse is pitching against the
Royals, runs are scored. In his last 5 starts against Kansas City,
there have been an average of 11 runs scored between the two teams.
KC starter, Runelvys Hernandez, sat out the entire 2004 season
recovering from surgery and although he appears healthy now, he has
yet to show the type of results the Royals are hoping for. His ERA in
3 starts this year is over 4.6 runs per game and the opposition has
scored an average of over 7 runs in each of the 3 games he has
started. Of course, on this staff Hernandez looks like a stud and he
is in no danger of losing his spot in the rotation as long as the
Royals continue in their low-budget ways. The Royals have the worst
record in baseball and already this year there has been talk about
Manager Tony Pena losing his job. That probably won't happen, at
least not in the first half of the season as the management and fans
in KC are kind of use to this. Take the 'over' in this game.

Free NBA Pick - William Foote
Miami vs. New Jersey
Take Miami
If it ain?t broke, don?t fix it. After crushing New Jersey by
18-points in Game Two and 17-points in Game One, Miami is now a
perfect 5-0 both SU and ATS vs. the Nets this year. The other three
margins of victory during the regular season were 25-points,
16-points and 23-points with the latter two coming results here in at
Continental Airlines Arena.
