  • Question on MLB and apology

Sorry guys for yesterday, I guess it was a strange thing to do. I rememeber in a past thread a bar that some of you go to that I also go to, so I thought it would be cool to get together.

Anyway the question I have is: In the past I use to consider the starting pitcher 1st when capping. Now the starting pitcher is pulled a lot sooner than in the past. I actually don't even consider the starter anymore. I focus on the pen and the hitting. Its seems that most of you always say to specify the starter. Am I making a mistake by not giving the starter more importance?

    Thanks,
    Pete

ps sorry RJeremy about the rain comment, was drunk by then and pissed that I can't hit a dam game.

    Chinto,
I know some here don't consider pitchers at all and probably do well like that. I am not comfortable with that. A pitcher is an intricate part of the game, but not the whole game so, don't over emphasize it like some do.
I take into consideration, ground balls to fly balls, hits/so/bb/hr . These are parts of a game a pitcher has control over and tells me the type of contol and command.
    ERA's are overrated.

    ERA is way over rated.

No problem dude. I take a heavy consideration on the starting pitcher to be honest. I realize that he's probably only going to last 6 or 7 innings though, but that has always been a part of capping baseball.

Hang in there buddy, just take the POD's for a while and see how that works for you. I know its hard to only take 1 play a day, but they're hitting at 80%.

Also take some GoldVike 5*'s and some of Chuck's Big Plays. You'll be ok, there's ups and downs in gambling, just like in sales. Never get too high and never get too low.

Whom ever you decide to follow do so religiously. Bouncing back and forth will lead to losses.

Startin Pitcher is important, but I put more emphasis on the Teams Bull Pen Stats...Startin pitchers rarely go past 7 innings (or up to for that matter), its the middle relievers and closers that really count in my opinion...the Kapt

I look into the pitchers records against the team they are playing, also take into consideration who's in the Pen and who's in the lineup. Whether a team is good defensively or offensively. But most of all, ride the hot teams and play against the ones that are not. A big thing also to look at is teams at home that lose 2 games in a series to bounceback and win the last one, usually great odds or play the runline, cause they try not to get swept!!
